Please join us for reception, documentary screening & guest panel with community discussion. The panel will concentrate on being intentional about our future as a community, as informed by understanding our past.
Panelists include:
Yoruba Richen - film director, screenwriter and producer, educator. Writer and director of this Smithsonian Green Book documentary and filmmaker of other acclaimed documentaries.
Ron Stephens - author of Idlewild: The Black Eden of Michigan and Idlewild: The Rise, Decline, and Rebirth of a Unique African American Resort Town among other works.
Gloria House - writer, educator, human rights activist and advocate for social justice. Author of “Home Sweet Sanctuary: Idlewild Families Celebrate a Century” among other works.
